On August 5, at 12.15 pm, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform Bhoomi Poojan rituals for the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, then on the same day, Ram devotees will celebrate the night by lighting the lamp from house to house, before Diwali. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad is running a massive Deepotsav campaign to connect every Hindu family with a glorious occasion on this day. Deepotsav will be celebrated in every city or village. According to Acharya Indradev Shastri, coordinator-coordinator of the Bhumi Pujan ritual at Ramjanmabhoomi, the Bhoomi Poojan program will start from 1st August. The ritual will begin on the first day with Ganpati Pujan and Panchang Pujan. Also, the recitation of Valmiki Ramayana and many other classical texts will begin. On the second day, the continuation of the text will combine the order of Ramarcha worship and discourse, while on August 5, there will be a traditional ritual of Shastranukool Bhoomi Pujan. It will be edited by 10 to 15 Vedic Acharyas. These will include scholars from select local to Delhi and Banaras. It is likely that the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram will be ready before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
During the Bhoomi Pujan, the presence of leaders of parties like Congress, SP-BSP could not be seen as the leaders of the said parties never showed interest in temple construction due to the politics of vote bank.
